You Are Worth It!

Believing that you are worth the extra effort it takes to feed yourself great food is a major step in moving towards a healthier weight.

Think about it. So much of what you fundamentally believe about yourself carries through to your habits and behaviours with food. How you eat is how you live. If you believe that you don’t really deserve the good things in life, you will continue to feed yourself poor quality food which makes you sick in body and in spirit. If you feel that there is never enough of what you need in life i.e.; love, money, time, attention, then you are likely to be driven to inhale all the food on your plate and possibly the leftovers on your friends plate too.

If you are too busy taking care of everyone else (like many women), you may then turn to food to take care of yourself. If you feel that you must keep others happy in order to receive love and affection, you may eat foods that don’t really please you, rather than risk upsetting someone’s feelings. If you loathe your own body, you will find it difficult to treat it with the respect it deserves. The truth is you can’t truly love yourself and hate your body at the same time.

Learning to love and accept yourself is perhaps the greatest gift you can offer yourself. When you treat yourself with kindness and compassion, you open yourself up to new realms of pleasure and joy. We are all worthy. The level of self care you practice is a direct reflection of your self worth.

So realise that you are worth it. You are enough.
